Frequently Asked Questions

Pastel is sold frozen and raw, what you need to do is just fry it or roast it. To roast it, the best way is to brush it with the egg first.

No, the pastel must be fried frozen. The pastel cannot defrost because the filling can damage the dough.

Your order can be collected any day of the week between 8am and 10pm. Please place your order with at least 1 or 2 days in advance.

The ideal storage temperature is -18 degrees.

Cooking instructions

  1. Fill a heavy-bottomed pot or electric deep frier with enough oil to cover the Pastel (cook from frozen)
  2. Heat the oil and deep fry the Pastel for 1 minute and 30 seconds each size until golden brown. Recommended temperature 170 degrees.
  3. Place the Pastel on a try with paper tower and let settle for 2-3 min.
  4. Serve the nice and crispy Pastel with your favourite sauce and drink.

Important Precautions

  1. Do not overheat the oil.
  2. Do not overcook the Pastel
  3. Do not eat straight after of cooking. They MUST rest first for 2-3 minutes.
